Faculty travel grant 2018

The Manodharma trip presented an opportunity of a lifetime. I can think of no other way that I would have visited and interacted with significant organizations throughout India. If you take this trip, be ready to be busy but you'll come home with contacts and potential projects that may otherwise take years to generate.

The Manodharma trip allowed me to make connections with amazing nonprofit partners that I otherwise would not have met. I can now connect my students with organizations that are doing important work in education, sustainability, the arts, and women's empowerment.

FACULTY TRAVEL GRANT PROGRAM

Being a participant on the Manodharma team was absolutely transformative. We were intimately introduced to dozens of world-class institutions dedicated to education, social empowerment, poverty reduction, and health. The opportunities are endless and I look forward to cultivating the linkages Manodharma helped me establish.

I was surprised at how much I gained (personally and professionally) from meeting with organizations completely unrelated to my content area. The cumulative effect of working with people and organization, related and unrelated, to my discipline will serve to enhance the experience of my students. If you have any interest in working in India, this is a great way to get started.

This trip as a once in a lifetime trip for me. I was exposured to inspiring places, organizations, and people in India that I would never known existed without this trip. I was inspired and amazed by the people of India who are acting on their desire to serve others by creating strong, vision-driven, socially-engaged non-profits. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to travel and learn about India with Raj and Manodharma.
